Spiritual Response Therapy

“I am not my thoughts, emotions, sense perceptions, and experiences. I am not the content of my life. I am Life. I am the space in which all things happen. I am consciousness. I am the Now. I Am.” Eckhart Tolle

Spiritual Response Therapy is a process of researching the many levels of your being to pinpoint and release blocks (unhealthy, limiting beliefs) to health, happiness, abundance, peace, love and more so you can experience the change you’ve been searching for.

These unhealthy, limiting beliefs about who you are and what you are worthy of can originate from a variety of places (familial, societal, religious, etc.). Left unaddressed, these beliefs shape your life and influence your decisions, leading you down a path filled with discomfort, disappointment, heartache, pain, fear, anger and grief.

It can be challenging to experience the type of lasting changes you’re seeking, especially in the beginning, because these beliefs exist on both the conscious and unconscious levels – within which are many more levels and layers. If the beliefs within the many levels of your being are out of alignment with one another, they will cause you to go in different directions to get your needs met or accomplish your goals. In this case, change can seem impossible and very confusing, if it happens at all.

Even if you are consciously aware of the beliefs that need to change and are actively working on them, change can still take a long time and feel frustrating and de-motivating because there are aspects of your being that are deep, etheric, unknown and causing friction with the changing beliefs on the conscious level. This is like having one foot on the gas pedal and one foot on the brake!

During the Spiritual Response Therapy process, the unknown becomes known and understood with love and compassion. As this happens, your connection to SPIRIT delivers the healing energy required to help you release what no longer serves you. This opens a space within your being to receive from SPIRIT that which is necessary to bring all levels of your being back into full alignment for enduring transformation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Spiritual Response Therapy?

Spiritual Response Therapy is a spiritual healing system of pinpointing and releasing subconscious blocks to health, love, prosperity, joy and more utilizing a series of charts, a pendulum and our connection to the aspect of SPIRIT, our Source, that is functioning as the spiritual committee known as our High Self.

How did Spiritual Response Therapy come to be?

Dr. Clark Cameron, a sociologist, was experimenting with a core concept in the book, Clinical Hypnotherapy, by Davis Cheek and Leslie LeCron called the ideometer response. This is the unconscious movement of the body, such as a finger raise or an eye blink, in response to direct questioning. In this book, Cheek and LeCron point out that an ideometer response proves an invaluable tool for bypassing the conscious mind to locate and correct unconscious messages that hinder daily life. In the book, Techniques of Hypnotherapy, LeCron identifies the pendulum, a heavy item such as a crystal or washer attached to a string or chain, as a tool that can be used with the ideometer response, and without hypnosis.

In the fall of 1985, Rober E. Detzler, a Unity minister, scheduled himself for clearing work with Dr. Cameron, and his wife Sharon, because of the stories he was hearing about significant life changes and healings from the Response Therapy technique. He eventually invited the Camerons to do two mini-workshops at his church, gathering a few others to participate. The feedback was so positive that Detzler convinced the Camerons to create a longer training program that took place over twelve Saturdays. Within three months, Robert was using Response Therapy as his primary method of counseling members of his congregation, experiencing amazing results. As he continued to use the Response Therapy method, Detzler began incorporating spiritual aspects to the clearing and healing work and added fan shaped charts for easier use with the pendulum. He eventually wrote about the system in his book, Your Mind Net, which was published in 1988 shortly after teaching his first class. Your Mind Net was later revised and titled, The Freedom Path. In May of 1989, Robert resigned from his church to devote himself full time to Spiritual Response Therapy (what it was now called), expanding the system to include eighteen charts. Since then, the SRT system has grown to include more than 40 charts, three books and teachers and practitioners residing all over the world. Additionally, the Spiritual Response Association, consisting of several board members in varying countries, was incorporated as a non-profit entity in 1991 to oversee the training, materials and conduct of its members and create a certifying program for others to teach, learn and practice this skill.

What happens during a Spiritual Response Therapy Session?

Prior to the session, I do prep work that and aligns my and my client’s energy with our High Selves and the Radiant Love of SPIRIT for the session to take place accurately and harmoniously. It is paramount to ensure a secure connection through our High Self to only SPIRIT so the guidance and answers received during the clearing are 100% for the highest good. This process can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes.

Once this is completed, I begin by allowing SPIRIT to guide us through the charts containing words, ideas, energies and beliefs that are supporting and facilitating the energy of the blocks within the many layers of my client’s being. Once the item(s) on the chart is identified, sometimes more research is needed for my client’s understanding and wisdom, but, for the most part, we don’t need to know all the details. More often than not, just knowing what it is and that the healing is taking place is enough. Once this item has been addressed, I will go back to the beginning and repeat this process until it is indicated to me that this portion of the healing is completed and I can move onto the final stages of the treatment. This process can take anywhere from 30-60 minutes.

When I receive the signal that all items necessary to facilitate my client’s intent have been addressed, it is time to begin the final portion of the session, which is a multi-step process that ensures everything that needed to be addressed was, everything that needed to be applied has been, all the advice that needed to be given was (there are charts that deal with diet, lifestyle, how to change your life and more) and a variety of other checks and balances. This process can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes.

I like to describe a Spiritual Response Therapy session as one very, very long drawn out prayer where we (my client, myself and our spiritual committee members) set an intention for the healing and SPIRIT, in its unconditionally loving state wanting nothing but your healing and wholeness, guides us with the pendulum to the chart where the block is so we can ask for it to be removed and replaced with all the good things in store for you. As an unconditionally loving consciousness, It is always knocking at the door, but you must open it. In other words, SPIRIT is always trying to heal us, we must allow SPIRIT in to do that. And, Spiritual Response Therapy enables that to take place in a very specific way. Receiving a Spiritual Response Therapy session is like you saying, “SPIRIT, I want to experience more XYZ in my life, please make it so.” Then, SPIRIT guides us to a chart and points to an item and says, “you need My Radiant Love right here to clear the block that’s preventing you from experiencing more XYZ in your life.” When you respond with, “OK, please enter there,” SPIRIT says, “I will make it so,” and deep inner transformation can take place because the many levels of your being are then able to come back into alignment to support your intent for more XYZ.

How do you conduct the Spiritual Response Therapy session?

I typically like to do them either in-person or live video conferencing. This give us an opportunity to talk about the things that are coming up right as it’s happening and you get the chance to take notes as freely and detailed as you like.

What is the purpose of the follow-up Spiritual Response Therapy coaching call?

The purpose of the Spiritual Response Therapy coaching call is to make myself available for the healing process that a person undergoes after a Spiritual Response Therapy session and to assist in framing the changes that are taking place in the context of the session and the intent. When one decides to change their energy at the level that Spiritual Response Therapy accesses, life has a way of organizing itself around this new energy very quickly because all levels of their being are in alignment.
